Key Ingredients

PROBIOTICS: A powerful cocktail of bacteria from the Lactobacillus and Lactococcus families, these probiotics are extremely gentle on the skin and help to support the microbiome and stimulate cells renewal.

PREBIOTICS: A mix of ultra-gentle fibres and sugars that feed your skin’s good bacteria and help support the skin’s barrier, with an antibacterial action against bad bacteria.

FERN EXTRACT: Gallinée is using a specific polysaccharide extracted from fern for its prebiotic effect and its unique properties to help reveal skin that is firmer and appears lifted.

LACTIC ACID: The gentlest of AHAs, lactic acid helps the skin to stay at its optimal pH level and has hydrating and softening properties. Gallinée uses a slow-release form to suit even sensitive skin.

PHYSIOLOGICAL PH: All Gallinée products are made to match the optimal pH of the skin and the microbiome.

WITHOUT: Doesn’t contain colourants, perfume, parabens, mineral oils, silicones, microbeads, phenoxyethanol or methylisothiazolinone.

How to use

Apply morning or evening to a cleansed face. The Youthful Serum can be used either…

1. Alone, as an initial step on a cleansed face. It is water-based texture and is very easily absorbed by the skin.
2. Mixed with the Gallinée Hydrating Face Cream for a booster effect.

It has also done a wonderful job of reducing redness, sensitivity, and the overall reactivity of my skin - my skin is considerably clearer, and seems healthier and stronger since using it.I also love how gentle it is as well, and how all the ingredients are explained on the site - my skin reacts to products easily, and I've had a lot of instances of buying products I thought would be suitable but then couldn't use long term. My skin even doesn't like hylauronic acid so I'm really pleased to have found an effective hydrating product without it!The only criticism I would have would be in terms of packaging, as when mine was delivered (I ordered from lookfantastic), the cardboard box the serum was in was also wrapped in soft plastic. It didn't seem to me that this served a necessary function, as the serum was already in a box, and obviously consumers are becoming increasingly aware of our huge plastic pollution problem. If the extra packaging is necessary however - perhaps a more eco-friendly alternative would be a better option?Other than this, thank you Gallinee for making such a gentle and effective probiotic product - it's exactly what I've been looking for!

Is it compatible with the use of retinol?

Our Youthful Serum contains lactic acid, which could be sensitivising with a strong retinol routine. It’s been tested and approved on sensitive skin, so it all depends on how your skin feels.

How does the Youthful Serum work for the pH of the skin?
