  1. Carla

I am not the kind of person who writes reviews but these supplements deserve it! I have been taking them for 3 weeks and I can see my skin is softer and when it seems I am about to have a breakout, it dissappears that quick that I can’t even call it a breakout. I would highly recommend it as I think my skin has improved a lot!

Do you need to take a probiotic daily?

Fermented food is part of a healthy diet. Probiotic supplements can help, and there is no problem taking them daily. One thing to remember: they don’t really have a long term effect, so take them as long as you have the issue.

How long do probiotics take to work?

Probiotics taken in sufficient quantities have a very immediate effect on the gut. For the effect on the skin, you might need to wait a couple of weeks. Make sure you take a sufficient amount, as not a lot is going to happen if you take less than one billion.

What’s the difference between prebiotics and probiotics?

Probiotics is just another word for a good bacteria that can help the human body.
Prebiotics are food sources that can only be assimilated by good bacteria. They are an amazing way to select what kind of bacteria you want, in a very gentle way. They usually are short chains of sugar or oligosaccharides, and the most famous one is called inulin.

What is the immediate impact of taking a probiotic supplement?

The first thing you will notice is improved digestion: less bloating, more regular poo and just a more comfortable gut… That is because probiotics have a strong local action.
Science is now getting quite interested in other effects of probiotics, for example on mood or on skin problems, such as acne and eczema. This part of science is called the gut-brain axis and the gut-skin axis.

What does CFU mean?

CFU stands for Colony Forming Unit. It means a live bacteria in good enough form to reproduce and form its own little colony. It’s the base unit for a probiotic supplement. Look for something with at least 1 billion CFU per capsule if you want to see any effect
