Sequential Skin, the biotech company that developed this test, has done extensive studies comparing the T zone (which covers the forehead and nose) and U zone (which covers the cheeks and chin). As a result they didn’t observe significant differences between T and U zones for the targeted skin microbiome markers, so the test results will be accurate even if the skin on your forehead tends to be oilier than the rest of your face.

1) Test Kit activation:
– To register your kit, head to the Test Kit activation page on Gallinée.com
– Follow the instructions on the page and answer our skin questionnaire to register your test (estimated time: 3 minutes)

2) Sampling:
To collect your sample, make sure you do the test first thing in the morning before you wash or cleanse your face. Only 3 easy steps:
– Stick the patch on your forehead for 10 seconds
– Put it in the test tube provided
– Mail it back in the prepaid bag

And that’s it! Your results will be sent back to you via email within 3 to 4 weeks.

Your Test Kit comes with a prepaid envelope. Post your sample in a Royal Mail priority postbox. You can find your nearest priority postbox by visiting: www.royalmail.com/services-near-you

You will receive your report in a pdf format via email. Expect a clear and in-depth overview of your Skin Microbiome Diversity Index score, which reflects the state of your skin microbiome and assesses your environment’s effects on your skin. The report also highlights the age of your skin and your skin traits. Here is a non exhaustive example of sample results.

Yes, you can do your evening routine as normal. On the morning you collect the sample, make sure that your skin is makeup-free and completely dry. Avoid splashing or washing it with water. Then, just follow the steps in the provided leaflet.

Currently, we do not have a system in place to provide individual sample receipt confirmations. However, we assure you that we will diligently process your samples and deliver the results to you within 3-4 weeks.
