ULTRA GENTLE CLEANSING BASE: Our non-foaming cleansing base is derived from coconut and fruit sugars, 100% natural and non-ionic

LACTIC ACID: The gentlest of AHA. The lactic acid helps the skin to stay at its optimal pH level and has hydrating and softening properties. Gallinée uses a slow-release form to suit even sensitive skin.

PREBIOTICS: A mix of ultra-gentle fibres and sugars that feed your skin’s good bacteria and help support the skin’s barrier, with an antibacterial action against bad ones

FERMENTED RICE WATER: Rice water has been traditionally used as facial and hair wash for centuries by Asian women to improve skin complexion and hair condition. Nutritious rice water fermented by Saccharomyces is a favorable ingredient known to keep healthy and shiny hair.

MAFURA OIL: Known for its soothing properties, this oil is helps moisturise deeply. Its revitalising properties are very interesting for protective products. It is particularly suitable for delicate scalp.

TOCOPHEROL: A strong anti-oxidant, it protects the skin from external aggressions, and prevents ageing skin. This is the scientific name for vitamin E.

PHYSIOLOGICAL PH: All Gallinée products are made to match the optimal pH of the scalp and the microbiome.

WITHOUT: Doesn’t contain sulphates, soap, colourants, parabens, mineral oils, silicones, microbeads, phenoxyethanol or methylisothiazolinone.

How to use

Apply the Soothing Cleansing Cream onto your roots and massage into the scalp and on very wet hair. Leave for up to two minutes then rinse.

We recommend alternating with your normal shampoo at first. Start using it once or twice a week instead of your normal shampoo, with the time you will notice hair needs washing less often.

My hair is not very thick, but not fine, and slightly oily at the roots, I found that conventional shampoo really weighed my hair down and made it more oily. I use this cleanser daily, my hair has a fullness and shininess that I have never been able to achieve before. It took a few weeks to wean myself off of conventional shampoo and the feel of a foamy wash. The only downside and the reason it’s not 5 stars is the price, it’s expensive. However, no need for separate conditioner.

I really love this cream formula, it soothes my scalp and relieves the itching while leave my hair surprisingly soft and shiny. I have only given it 4 stars because its not a very cost effective solution for me. Since the cream does not lather I find I have to use 2-3x more of it than I would of regular shampoo to ensure it is dispersed over my scalp and the bottle is quite small so there's really only 4-5 applications per bottle. I do have very thick hair so that possibly makes it harder for me to spread the cream on my scalp so this issue may not apply to everyone. Overall I'm really happy with the product and its the only 'shampoo' that has actually soothed my scalp its just a bit frustrating that I can't afford to use it as my regular shampoo.

I haven't used this product too long but after the first time I recognized a difference. It feels different and looks different. My hair normally gets very straight when fully dried. Now it looks more voluminous, with more body. It stays clean for long. I would normally wash my hair every 2 days applying dry shampoo on the second day. Now it looks fine at the second, I stopped using the dry shampoo. I also use less conditioner. I'm waiting to see what happens after the first month, but right now feel incredibly good.

I no longer have any scalp irritation or dryness and I get frequent compliments on how healthy my hair looks. It's expensive but worth every penny and once you know how to use it, you don't need very much at all (I was using too much to begin with so going through a bottle quite quickly but then I watched the video with Marie and a hairdresser on how much you need). I use the whole hair set and rate every product.

Ce soin permet à mes boucles de rester hydratées, souples, mes cheveux sont brillants et en pleine santé. J'ai ajouté un embout applicateur à la place du bouchon fourni pour appliquer la crème directement aux endroits sensibles de mon cuir chevelu. Je l'applique aussi en masque cheveux sur cheveux humides et laisse poser des heures avant de rincer, résultat optimisé, cheveux hydratés ET nourris. Comme j'en ai toujours en réserve ;-) , je ne laisse qu'un tiers à la moitié du produit dans le flacon et j'ajoute de l'eau pour le liquéfier car la crème lavante est assez épaiss. Diluée, elle passe ainsi plus facilement dans mon embout applicateur pour aller directement aux racines. Il faut persévérer car les problèmes de cuir chevelu ne se règlent pas en trois shampoings ! Après plusieurs mois, j'affirme qu'il a apaisé mon problème à 90%.

I have only recently started having this issue(in last year) where the skin near my hairline would become red and inflamed with large sections of skin would just flake off en mass. I have been using the cleansing cream in conjunction with the scalp cream for almost two weeks and I notice that the size of the patches seems to have decreased along with the number of visible flakes. I've even incorporated this routine into my own once every other week or so, and it keeps my hair free of build-up and super shiny! I'm very sensitive to scents/fragrances and it bummed me out to see Gallinee adding fragrance to their sensitive skin/hair products. It's not a very strong scent - light and clean, but it, unfortunately, bothers my allergies. I really want to try other Gallinee products but the scent is keeping me from trying them. Other than the fragrance, Gallinee products are definitely worth a try!

How to soothe an irritated scalp?

Introducing Gallinée Soothing Cleansing Cream to your hair routine is a great way to soothe your irritated scalp.

We exclude the surfactants and sulphates used in traditional shampoos and conditioners that make you wash your hair more often as these increase sebum production, which leads to an imbalance in your scalp. The scalp’s microbiome helps to regulate your sebum and any imbalance can lead to itchiness, redness and dandruff.
Using microbiome skincare that includes pre, post and probiotic complexes will help to keep your microbiome healthy and your scalp soothed.

How to improve skin microbiome on scalp?

Using hair products based on patented pre, post and probiotic skincare technology is the best way to improve your scalp’s microbiome. This helps to rebalance your scalp, soothe irritation and strengthen your skin’s protection against harmful bacteria.

How should I apply Gallinée Soothing Cleansing Cream?

You use our Soothing Cleansing Cream much like any other shampoo. Apply a small dollop onto your roots and massage into your scalp and then through your hair to the tips. Leave the cream in for two minutes then rinse off – simple!

Top tip: Our cream won’t foam up like normal shampoo, so it can be tempting to use more than you need. Try to use the same amount of cream as you would your normal shampoo.

Why does the Cleansing Cream not foam?

Our Cleansing Cream doesn’t foam as it’s derived from 100% natural and non-ionic ingredients. The surfactants, sulfates and chemicals in normal shampoos (which enable them to foam) cause your hair to get greasy more quickly, encouraging you to wash your hair more often. This is due to the fact that they increase your sebum production, which imbalances your scalp’s microbiome and can also cause itchiness, redness and dandruff.

When will I start to see results from this shampoo?

Once you’ve been using our Soothing Cleansing Cream shampoo for two to three weeks, you should notice that your scalp feels soothed, your hair feels gorgeously healthy and that you don’t need to wash your hair as often.
